Our Story

Hi, my name is Christian Hunter :) I am a wife, mama, licensed therapist, business owner, and lover of Jesus My husband and I, along with our 3 year old daughter, were heavily involved in our church. I was part time staff, my husband and I led worship together, and my daughter was the true definition of church staff kid, at church almost every time the doors were open. Church was our community and our safe place... until it wasn't. I created "When the Church Gets It Wrong" as an outlet for me, simply for processing the emotions that pop up. But I also wanted it to be a resource for others who have had the unfortunate experience of church hurt. If you are here, please know you are seen.
